The cat appears to have no tail?
Indeed it has no tail. But not by choice as far as I can tell. It may have had Manx envy. I think it may have been paid to add some atmosphere or interest to that horrid stark pebbly place of rest.

Well, it was in the right place. And it looked satisfied enough with its lot. But then cats generally do.
